El campo de la construcción con contenedores marítimos ha experimentado en los últimos tres años un avance significativo. Hemos visto desarrollarse gran número de proyectos particulares y comunitarios a lo largo y ancho del planeta. Un nuevo sentido de sostenibilidad y reciclaje ha sido integrado en este tipo de construcción. Los avances son significativos y hemos aprendido bastante en el campo de la experiencia real utilizando contenedores marítimos. A nivel universitario y en las escuelas de arquitectura de todo el mundo el tema también se ha convertido en un asunto de interés común. Por esto y por muchas otras cosas podemos afirmar que nos encontramos en un momento significativo en lo que a la construcción con contenedores marítimos se refiere.
