100 Shipping container have been used in this amazing built project on student housing. Exterior structure allows many interstitial spaces that provide visual richness to the whole project.
According to the source article interior side of containers facing outside has been covered with concrete and rubber, which allows improvement regardig thermical and acoustic quality of finished spaces.

Not just student housing. How about classrooms. We live in Belize, Central America and the whole country needs classrooms. Someone should explore the use of shipping containers to build classrooms.

great idea since student housing is so expensive. maybe if there is more availability that will push the prices down. they have used shipping containers in vancouver for a while now and it has been successful, I believe.
